What’s Wrong With This Picture

Can you believe this?! We’ll give you one chance to guess what’s wrong with this photo….(hint* There is more than one thing wrong!!!)
This is a birthday card for a 13 year old girl that says, “You’re 13 today! If you had a rich boyfriend he’d give you diamonds and rubies. Well, maybe next year you will – when you have bigger boobies.”
So, tell us….what do YOU think is wrong with this card’s message?
That is just ridiculous. Once again we are sending out messages to young girls telling them they are nothing unless they have a boyfriend and huge perky boobs. RRR. Thanks for sharing.
Ohhh MY GOODNESS! Where does one even start with this picture?! If I received that as child, I would have been devastated. Making fun of their boob size…saying they are nothing without a boyfriend…..and nothing without boobs. I’m at a loss of words.
I showed this to my 7 and 9 year old daughters.
My 9 year old said, “That’s disgusting and sexist! Girls don’t need big boobs to get a boyfriend. Having a rich boyfriend doesn’t matter! Having a boyfriend at all doesn’t matter!”
My 7 year old added, “And besides, that’s saying girls are supposed to have BOYfriends. We can date girls if we want to!!”
Nooooo. For real? That is wrong on so many levels.
