Is your body ready for summer? It can be with my 10 Day Remodel! My clients represent the average individual; consuming a diet filled with junk and fried foods, drinking alcohol and sugar laden drinks, and filling their bodies with a myriad of chemicals combined together and called “food.” Unfortunately, these are the staples of a typical American Diet. The food industry spends millions of dollars every year researching different flavor profiles and chemical concoctions to come up with something our brains crave more and more and ultimately become addicted to. Much like a drug, these food chemicals alter the chemistry of our brains needing them to feel “normal”, but this new unhealthy normal isn’t normal at all. We have strayed away from eating completely nutritious (and great tasting) food that nourishes our bodies to a slippery slope of addiction and toxicity.
Most of us aren’t farmers, and we don’t know exactly what’s going into our food. We can no longer walk outside and pick an apple off of a tree and confidently take a bite out of it knowing that it wasn’t recently sprayed with chemicals. Our lives have become go, go, go, and we often find ourselves grabbing some sort of prepackaged meal that can fill us up as fast as possible. Unfortunately, when we constantly eat this way, we forget about the most important thing that can keep us going and healthy…that’s eating for proper nourishment AND fuel! I have created The 10 Day Remodel Detox so we can recharge our bodies to function properly, decrease inflammation, provide sustained energy, and even teach our bodies to use FAT as a fuel source first instead of sugar!
Most standard “detoxes” nowadays have you drink some sort of beverage for days where it leaves you feeling weak, cloudy and possibly crabby through the duration of the detox! This is due to an extreme calorie restriction and low protein levels to help maintain proper body function on a cellular level. With my 10 Day Remodel we slowly eliminate foods that are known to cause issues in the body while still EATING throughout the day. By slowly eliminating foods throughout 10 days, you can become more in tune with your body. We only have one body, and it’s essential for you to understand what type of foods affect your body so you can truly live every day to its fullest. I want you to Remodel your body from the inside out by slowly eliminating common food allergens and reintroducing them one by one to see what types of food sensitivities you may have.
What types of foods will you be eliminating during the 10 Day Remodel Detox?
Caffeinated drinks. I’m a fan of caffeine just as much as anyone else, and I do believe there can be a proper place for caffeine in our everyday life… but the point of this remodel is to get our bodies back to homeostasis (equilibrium) so we can truly know what affects our bodies. Caffeine can have a negative effect on insulin resistance, sleep problems, indigestion, blood pressure, and more.
Dairy Products. Dairy and eggs are known to cause inflammation, gas, bloating, and constipation. People often notice a major change in the way they feel when they get rid of dairy.
Grains containing gluten. Look, I know you don’t want to jump on the “gluten free” bandwagon here, but let me tell you why you need to get rid of gluten. Gluten is the primary protein in wheat (and in Latin actually means “glue”) yes….so basically you are eating glue! Most people have no idea they are gluten sensitive/intolerant, unless you have the autoimmune disease called Celiac. Gluten can cause inflammation, gas, joint pain, sluggishness, and other problems including digestive issues. Taking gluten out of your diet is a good idea to see if you feel better, and chances are you will actually crave less sugary foods because most foods that contain gluten are extremely carb heavy and will be processed by your body as sugar.
Legumes and Nuts: Lots of people have allergies to peanuts (on a side note peanuts aren’t a nut, they are a legume, crazy!). Lots of people are able to handle beans and lentils, but they still can cause allergic reactions.
Red Meat. Red meat is full of hormones & antibiotics, it raises cholesterol levels, and has been known to cause insulin resistance and damage to your cells.
Refined sugars. Now, why would you want to get rid of sugars…..they taste so good! Look, there’s nothing wrong with having a sweet tooth, but we have lost our way in what is actually considered sweet. We used to think fruit was sweet but with the emergence of artificial sweeteners that are hundreds of times sweeter than actual sugar, our taste buds have been hijacked! Artificial sweeteners and excess sugar contribute to overeating, diabetes, inflammation, cell damage, and high blood pressure, to name a few. There are more adverse reactions to NutraSweet reported to the FDA than all other foods and additives combined!
Now that you have a brief overview of the types of food you will be eliminating and reintroducing into your diet, remember: that is half the battle. It is the order and timing of this elimination & reintroduction, and the food that you will be eating during the detox, that will have the greatest impact on your body. So challenge your body by completing my 10 Day Remodel Detox so you can begin to be more in tune with your body and treat it the way it’s supposed to be treated….like a well-oiled machine! If you truly want to get your system working right, then try this 10 Day Remodel where you will be able to eat REAL food while being on it (all recipes included), lose weight, train your system to burn FAT as an energy source, and, most of all, live a longer and healthier life!
