Love this! you go girl for already buying your own place. Whoa! Sounds like a #SheNOW girl to me! What do you think @BrennaSmith ? Have you already started looking?

  • @brennasmith I can’t think of any suggestions at the moment. Maybe email marketing? I still kinda just blast out the RSS and no real newsletters.

  • In reply to: SheNOW posted an update @asingleterry – Adriann! Welcome to SheNOW! =) Introduce yourself to other members! View

@brennasmith and @asingleterry – glad to hear it was fun! What happens Sunday?

  • @brennasmith and @jstarr09 – will there be another Member’s Only Chat this month? I feel like I haven’t heard from y’all in forever! How are you?!

    • Hey Tiffany! There probably won’t be a member’s only chat this month as I don’t think we have anything on the calendar. @jstarr09 – is that right? I think we’ll be back with the Member’s only Chats in January. Get excited! =) Have you been getting your holiday shopping done?

  • Hey @brennasmith πŸ™‚ I was busy studying, I have never visited m family in Housten, and about the time difference: Amman is 8 hours ahead of Texas.

    • ahhh! Studying. Certainly don’t miss that, but I guess you have a lot to do since you’re a doctor! When do you finish with school?

      • 2015. BA of Medicine in Jordan is divided into two levels: basic science (which I finished few months ago), and clinical. I started my clinical rotations a month ago.

    • Studying…a necessary evil! I assume you were studying chemistry or biology? ; ) What’s your fav subject?

      • Yes, I took courses of biology and chemistry during my first year, yet here we concentrate more on anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, biochemistry, and this stuff. And in clinical years, we concentrate more on the clinical aspects of the diseases, communication skills, and professionalism.
My favorite subject is biochemistry. And next…[Read more]

@brennasmith: yes, time has absolutely flown by! I cannot believe that we head to Dublin tomorrow, where we will stay in a hotel overnight, and catch our plane first thing Friday morning. • In reply to: Kara posted an update This is our last weekend in Belfast! I’m pretty sure we’re going on a hiking adventure to/through the Mourne’s ! View

@brennasmith: we’re super excited about hiking the Mournes! While it is difficult to choose an absolute favorite part of the trip, I’d have to say that the Giant’s Causeway/Dunluce Castle/Bushmills Village/Bushmills Distillery was really fun and beautiful. (We did all of that in one day!) I have also enjoyed just exploring Belfast itself, walking…[Read more]

    • One of my favorite things to do is going off the beaten path, so I’m glad to see you doing it as well. So, now that you’ve done the Mournes, do they trump the Giant’s Causeway/Dunlance Castle, etc?

      • That’s a tough choice, Brenna! πŸ™‚ I LOVE castles and anything ancient/ruinous that is full of history and mystery and intrigue. I’d have to say that Dunluce Castle and the Mournes are the top “outdoor” adventures for me, with the Giant’s Causeway coming in at a very, very, very close second! πŸ™‚

  • In reply to: Kara posted an update We leave for Dublin tomorrow! View

@brennasmith: THANKS!! I’m sitting in what used to be a bedroom window at Dunluce Castle! πŸ™‚

Thanks ladies!! @brennasmith: I’m going to prepare when we get back from Ireland. Although, and I don’t mean to sound cocky, I don’t think it’s going to be a hard-core interview. The Dept. Chair stated that she wanted us to meet, talk, and then have me fill out the necessary paperwork. No matter, I will still make some preparations and notes, one…[Read more]

    • I say suit…..but I’m a suit kind of gal. ; ) It makes a strong impression on the first meeting, and you can always dress down for future encounters if needed. Also, you’re not cocky…you’re confident….and confidence is key!

      • @brennasmith…I don’t have a suit suit. I do have a black dress (pencil skirt) that I can wear a newspaper print 3/4 sleeve jacket with, and basic pumps. I usually add something slightly quirky to my interview outfits, as I’m quirky and like my personality to come through even in dress, so I do have a pair of mod-inspired neutral color shoes…[Read more]
